Many organizations use the services of coaching consultancy and coaching supervision, mentoring, and training courses, for several different reasons. Whether you are looking to develop a team coach and develop their managerial, leadership, and problem solving skills; or, whether you just want to provide one on one coaching sessions to improve the overall quality of their skill sets; coaching supervision and mentoring courses can be a great way to really build the ultimate coach, and ultimate workplace. There are different forms of training depending on the skill sets which are being developed, from: one-to-one coaching session, to manager training sessions, or a coaching consultancy service training to have an individual ascertain the coaching methods currently being used, and improving upon them.

No matter what the reason you are choosing to use coaching training, there are different ways each company will choose to utilize these services. One common way coaching training is provided is on a one-to-one basis. This method supports an individual coach to attain their ultimate potential as a leader and problem solving expert for their team. The training will teach the coach how to get the team to overcome barriers, and allow them to get from where they currently are, to the position to be the best team. The one-to-one training is specifically tailored, and supported by questions which are asked of the coach, in order to support and help them unlcok the solutions to problems, and take responsibility of the outcomes. No matter what skill level an individual is at, manager, or new entry level coach, one-to-one sessions are a personalised approach to great results.

Another method to teach is coaching supervision. This allows a coach to maintain their professional competence in their industry; this method of training is also essential to European Individual Accreditation (EIA) with teh EMCC. This form of training teaches coaches the skills of how to properly coach a team, how to continually improve their management styles, and how to supervise their team members. This method of training will monitor the coaches progress and improve their overall performance as a team coach, and will continually teach them new skills to stay on top of their game.

Leadership and management training takes on a more comprehensive form which focuses on the entire organisation, rather than just coaches. Most organisations want their coaches to be competant, capable of leading their teams, and credible in the eyes of those they lead, in order to achieve the most team success. Therefore, with leadership and managment training, these skills will be taught, and enhanced, so that coaches can fully develop the team, and the output for their organisation.

The method of manager as coach is to get the ‘must have’ skill sets all coaches should have in order to properly lead their team, and get the best performance from them. The skills taught in this training are essential for all managers to have in order to properly lead their workers, and get them to perform at top levels. The practical skills of this coaching programme increases motivation, improves performance, and will enhance the working relationships between team members and their coach. Some skills taught include: knowing when to coach, mentor or manage team members, understanding the overall process of the team, creating an environment where team members feel comfortable working, and other skill sets to improve overall managerial quality.

No matter which form of training is required to develop coaching skills, there is a need for supervision courses, to get the most out of coaches in your organisation, and ensure they are the right individuals to lead team members.
